“The Nest”

“The Nest”

TMEL, Prague/Czech Republic

A puppet expedition of TMEL Theater through an unknown wilderness for audiences aged seven and up. Who is wriggling under the rocks? One wants to eat the other, another tries to outsmart everyone; some cooperate, others compete, and someone just prefers to hide. But what happens when you lose the safety of your nest?

Through unusual scenographic material of red sand and raw fiberglass we are uncovering layers of the hostile desert planet and its story. You will meet many different members of an unique entangled ecosystem: a little creature which struggles to find a new shell, a fast-evolving species and hungry predators, or mysterious pilgrims on their way to complete an important quest.

Though small in scale, The Nest opens up a vast, intricate world where even the tiniest creature can shift the balance of an entire planet. Told without words and accompanied by a rich, imaginative soundscape, it invites the audience to come and witness this strange place.
