INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF PROFESSIONAL THEATER FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH- NOVI SAD THEATER FESTIVAL
 
 BASIC PROVISIONS
Article 1.
Youth theatre, Novi Sad organizes a permanent international festival of professional theaters and theater troupes "Novi Sad Theater Festival" (hereinafter: the Festival).
Professional theaters and theater troupes and groups from all over the world participate in the Festival.
 
Article 2.
The festival is held in Novi Sad and has a competitive character.
The festival aims to promote theater for children and youth, strengthen international cultural exchange, promote theater art and creators, exchange ideas and theater practices and is dedicated to the development of contemporary theater for children and youth.
 
Article 3.
The Festival is organized every year, with the consent of the Founder – Youth theatre, Novi Sad, which provides financial resources for the organization of the Festival.
 
Article 4.
The festival operates according to the provisions of this Rulebook.
This Rulebook regulates the organization, program and competition categories of the Festival.
The work of the Festival jury is regulated by a special rulebook on the work of the Festival jury.
 
Article 5.
The festival is established as an international selection of the best plays for children and young people.
All types of theatrical form and performance for children and young people are represented at the Festival.
 
Article 6.
            The Festival is organized and held every year in the first half of May, under the auspices of the City of Novi Sad, sponsor and donor of the Festival.
 
FESTIVAL DIRECTOR 
Article 7.
By function, the director of Youth theatre, Novi Sad is the director of the Festival.
The Director of the Festival adopts the Rulebook on the work of the expert jury of the Festival and proposes the members of the expert jury.
 
FESTIVAL SELECTOR
Article 8.
The Festival selector is the director of Youth theatre, Novi Sad, by function.
In the event that the director of Youth theatre, Novi Sad is not a drama artist by profession (director, actor, playwright, etc.), the Festival selector is chosen by the Board of Directors of Youth theatre, Novi Sad, on the proposal of the Festival's Artistic Council.
Only prominent theater creators and theater experts from the country and abroad can be nominated as a selector.
The selector chooses the performances that will participate in the competition part and the supporting part of the Festival program.
The selector announces the selection no later than March 15.
Exceptionally, with the approval of the Artistic Council, the selection can be changed after publication.
 
ARTISTIC COUNCIL 
Article 9.
The Artistic Council is established to organize, maintain and popularize the Festival.
The Artistic Council has a minimum of three and a maximum of five members and is made up of prominent theater creators and theater experts from the country and abroad.
Members of the Artistic Council of the Festival are appointed by the Board of Directors of Youth theatre, Novi Sad on the proposal of the Director of Youth theatre, Novi Sad.
The Artistic Council of the Festival elects the chairman of the Council.
The mandate of the Artistic Council members lasts four years, with the possibility of re-election.
The Artistic Council approves the selection of the Festival.
The Artistic Council selects jury members upon the proposal of the Festival Director.
 
JURY
Article 10.
The jury of the Festival consists of three members and is made up of prominent theater creators and theater experts from the country and abroad.
The jury is obliged to award the stipulated prizes by decision.
The Rulebook on the work of the Festival's expert jury covers in detail all aspects and rules of the work of the Festival's expert jury, in accordance with the basic principles of the Festival.
Members of the Festival’s expert jury receive compensation for their work regulated by the contract.
Members of the expert jury are selected for each year separately.
 
 AWARDS
Article 11.
Prizes awarded:
1. Grand prix for the overall best performance - one award
2. Award for the best director - one award
3. Award for the best acting - one award
4. Award for animation mastery - one award
5. Special awards (3 special awards for original stage music, stage movement, collective play, original text, scenography, costume design, puppet design, etc.)
 
Article 12.
Grand prix includes a diploma and a statuette.
The award includes a diploma and a sum of money in accordance with the Financial Plan and possibilities of the Festival.
The special award includes a diploma and a sum of money in accordance with the Financial Plan and the possibilities of the Festival.
